Company overview

Autozam was a brand of Japanese automobiles created by Mazda. It focused on small and Kei cars, often rebadging models from Suzuki. In the late 1980s, Mazda established Autozam to expand its dealership network and sell a range of vehicles. The company initially produced the Carol, Revue, and Scrum models. Autozam also imported Lancia vehicles to Japan for a short period. In 1998, Mazda reorganized its dealership system, changing Autozam stores to "Mazda Autozam stores." These new stores sold Mazda vehicles and Suzuki automobiles. By the early 2000s, most Autozam stores had transitioned to Mazda dealerships. The brand continued to sell vehicles such as the AZ-3, AZ-1, and AZ-Wagon. Lancia models including the Thema, Delta, and Y10 were briefly available for sale through Autozam locations.
