Company overview

Gruppo Bertone, originally Carrozzeria Bertone, began as a carriage manufacturer in Turin, Italy, in 1912. Giovanni Bertone founded the company and his son, Nuccio Bertone, took over in 1933. The company specialized in car bodywork and styling, working with manufacturers like FIAT, Lancia, and Maserati. Bertone produced a variety of vehicles including the Lamborghini Miura and Espada during the 1960s. In 2014, the company declared bankruptcy after a period of financial difficulty and workforce reduction. The brand was subsequently acquired by AKKA Technologies in 2016, then by Ideactive, and most recently revived in 2022 by Mauro and Jean-Franck Ricci. The company continues to produce limited edition vehicles, such as the GB110.
