Company overview
Bogdan Corporation is a Ukrainian automobile trading and manufacturing group founded by Bogdan Motors. The company began producing vehicles in 1993, initially distributing Russian and Korean models. By 1998, it acquired the Cherkasy Automobile Repair Factory, transforming it into a bus manufacturing facility producing Bogdan buses and vehicles. In 2000, the company acquired LuAZ in Lutsk and began producing its own cars based on AvtoVAZ designs. Bogdan Corporation assembled vehicles in both Cherkasy and Lutsk, with a combined annual production capacity of 120-150 cars, up to 9,000 buses and trolleybuses, and approximately 15,000 trucks. The company produced a range of models including sedans, wagons, pickups, small and medium buses, and military vehicles. In 2020, the corporation faced bankruptcy, though production continued in Lutsk under a new owner. As of September 2024, LuAZ was sold to Dream Town residential complex.
