    Company overview

De la Chapelle began as a bicycle manufacturer in 1900. Motorcycle production started in 1901, followed by voiturette construction in 1907. From 1910 to 1914, the company built full-size automobiles. In 1975, Xavier de la Chapelle revived the marque, initially creating Bugatti replicas. The company began producing its own designs in 1985 with the Stimula Roadster. They utilized engines from BMW, Peugeot, and Mercedes-Benz or Jaguar. The company produced miniature car replicas for children starting in 1979, with models including the BMW 328 and Bugatti Type 55. Designs by Bertrand Barré included the De la Chapelle Tourer, Grand Prix, and Atalante. The company built three Parcours minivans and four Roadsters.
