Iveco Group N.V., the holding company of Iveco S.p.A., is an Italian multinational transport vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Turin, Italy. Established in 1975 through a merger of several brands – Fiat Veicoli Industriali, OM, Lancia Veicoli Speciali, Unic, and Magirus-Deutz – Iveco initially focused on producing vehicles ranging from 2.7 to 40 tons, including buses and engines. In January 2022, Iveco was spun off from CNH Industrial and listed on Borsa Italiana. In July 2025, Iveco announced the sale of its commercial vehicle business to Tata Motors and its defence business to Leonardo. Iveco’s history includes developing technologies such as the TurboStar heavy on-road vehicle and pioneering diesel engines with direct injection and EGR systems. The company has produced a range of vehicles including the Daily, Eurocargo, S-Way, and T-Way. Iveco has also been involved in alternative fuel research, developing electric drive systems, CNG and liquefied natural gas vehicles, and a diesel-ethanol prototype.
