Company overview

Hunan Jiangnan Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established in 2001 by the Jiangnan Machinery Group, a subsidiary of Norinco. Zotye acquired a controlling stake in 2007, initially holding 70% ownership. The company began assembling vehicles based on models from Suzuki and Fiat. From 2007 to 2021, Jiangnan Automobile produced vehicles under the Zotye brand, including models like the TT, Z100, and Z300. In 2021, the company initiated a bankruptcy and reorganization process due to Zotye’s own financial difficulties. Jiangsu Shenshang acquired Zotye and relaunched Jiangnan Automobile in 2022. The company’s current model is the U2, based on designs from Ruixiang HOEN O2.
