Company overview

MTM – Motoren Technik Mayer GmbH is a German company based in Wettstetten. Roland Mayer founded the company in 1990, initially focusing on modifying Audi engine ECUs. The business expanded to include products for Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, Lamborghini and Bentley brands. MTM operates a global dealer network with nearly 90 distributors across Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. The company is a member of the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and the Association of Automobile Tuners (VDAT). A collaboration with Nitec Engineering resulted in Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur. MTM built an Audi S2 RSR Clubsport in 1992 with a modified five-cylinder turbo engine. The company uses the Bimoto configuration, featuring two 1.8-liter turbocharged engines, to achieve high speeds. In 2003, a Bimoto Audi TT reached 374 km/h. MTM has been involved in motorsport, providing tuned engines to various teams and participating in races such as the 24-hour race at Zolder and the Nürburgring Fan Project. The company also explored hybrid engine technology for racing applications.
