Think Global was a Norwegian electric car manufacturer established in Bærum in January 1991, initially as Pivco. The company developed and manufactured electric vehicles under the TH!NK brand, starting with the PIV2 prototype in 1994. Production of the TH!NK City began in 1995, with a total of 2,500 units manufactured by October 2010. Ford acquired a stake in the company in 1999, leading to the production of the TH!NK City and related electric bicycles and golf carts. The TH!NK City underwent several phases of demonstration programs, including placement in U.S., New York and California fleets, with a total of 376 vehicles deployed. Production ceased in March 2011 following bankruptcy, with assets acquired by Electric Mobility Solutions AS. Production restarted in December 2009 in Finland, and continued until August 2012. The TH!NK Ox concept car was unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. Following a failed startup in Norway, production was restarted in Finland with the THINK City model. As of September 2010, the TH!NK City was sold in several European countries.
