Company overview

David Brown Automotive was founded in Coventry, England in 2013. The company created coach-built classic car interpretations using modern technology. Its initial model, the Speedback GT, debuted in 2014 and was based on a one-off Jaguar XK platform. In April 2017, the company moved its operations to a new facility at Silverstone Park. David Brown Automotive produced three models: the Speedback GT, the Speedback Silverstone Edition, and the Mini Remastered. The Speedback GT was designed by Alan Mobberley and built using traditional coach-building methods. The company sourced production from British suppliers and built the cars at its facility in Silverstone, UK. In November 2024, MB Insolvency placed the company into administration.
