Company overview

Marussia Motors, founded in 2007 in Russia, was a sports car company that initially aimed to produce supercars. It developed and manufactured prototypes of the B1 and B2 models, with the B1 being its first car. In 2010, it acquired a significant stake in the Virgin Racing Formula One team, which later became Marussia F1. The team competed in F1 from 2012 to 2014, achieving its only points at the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix. In April 2014, Marussia Motors was disbanded, with staff moving to a government-run technical institute. The Marussia F1 team continued as a British entity until its cessation of operations in November 2014. The company planned to expand into European and Asian markets, with a goal of presenting seven models at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Marussia utilized Cosworth engines, producing both naturally aspirated and turbocharged V6 variants for its vehicles.
