Company overview

Qiantu Motor was established in 2010 by Lu Qun and partners. The company’s goal was to create the first Chinese electric sports car. During the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, Qiantu presented its initial production vehicle, the K50. Production of the K50 began in 2017 at a facility in Suzhou, China. In 2018, the company unveiled new prototypes, including the Concept 1 and K20. Qiantu announced plans to sell its vehicles in the United States through a partnership with Mullen Technologies. The K50 was produced from 2018 to 2020. In June 2022, Qiantu reintroduced a new production model, an evolution of the K20 Concept. The company planned to expand its product line and operations internationally. On January 20, 2025, Qiantu Motors was declared bankrupt by the Suzhou High-tech Zone People’s Court. This followed a bankruptcy filing by CH-Auto.
