Company overview

Siata was an Italian car tuning shop and manufacturer founded in 1926. Initially, it supplied performance parts to modify Fiat vehicles. Following World War II, Siata began producing its own sports cars, starting with the Amica (1948-1952), a model available in both convertible and coupé configurations. The company then developed the Daina (1950-1958), based on Fiat mechanics, and introduced the 300BC Barchetta (1951-1956), built by Bertone. In 1952, Siata introduced the 208 CS and 208S coupés featuring Fiat’s 2.0-liter engine, with the latter becoming notable after actor Steve McQueen purchased a model. In 1954, Siata partnered with Abarth, producing models like the 750. Later, it created the TS coupés based on Fiat engines and launched the Siata Spring (1968-1970), utilizing parts from the Fiat 850. Production ceased in 1970, with ORSA continuing production of the Spring until 1975. Siata Española, a Spanish subsidiary, produced special bodies for SEAT chassis from 1960 to 1973.
