Company overview

Victory Motorcycles was an American motorcycle brand established in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Polaris Industries created Victory in the early 1990s to compete with Harley-Davidson and other American motorcycle manufacturers. The company’s initial goal was to produce a cruiser-style motorcycle built entirely in the United States, mirroring the style of classic American motorcycles. The first model, the V92C, debuted in 1998 with a 92 cubic-inch V-twin engine. Victory became profitable in 2002, but struggled financially in its final years due to a strategy of releasing new models with minimal changes and unsuccessful investments. Polaris acquired the Indian Motorcycle brand in 2011, and Victory operations were subsequently wound down. Models included the V92C, V92SC SportCruiser, V92TC Touring Cruiser, Vegas, Vegas 8-Ball, Hammer and Hammer 8-Ball. The Kingpin and Kingpin Deluxe were also produced, with the latter offering added luxury features.
