Carver Europe B.V. was a Dutch company established in 1994 by Chris van den Brink and Harry Kroonen as Brink Technologies Group B.V. The company focused on developing and manufacturing three-wheeled electric enclosed vehicles, primarily the Carver One (a high-speed model with a petrol engine) and the Carver (an electric scooter). A core technology was the Dynamic Vehicle Control (DVC) system, which enabled stability during turns by allowing the vehicle body to tilt independently of the rear wheels. Engineering activities were conducted under the name Carver Technology B.V., with Chris van den Brink serving as CTO. Production began in 1994, and approximately 200 Carver Ones were produced before the company declared bankruptcy in July 2019 due to lack of demand. The DVC technology was licensed to various companies, including Venture Vehicles/Persu Mobility and PAL-V for their flying car projects. The Carver One was designed with motorcycle characteristics, offering a unique driving experience and was reviewed positively by automotive personalities such as Jeremy Clarkson. The company’s headquarters, assembly factory, and engineering team were located in Leeuwarden, Netherlands.
