Industrias Kaiser Argentina (IKA) was established in 1956 as a joint venture between Kaiser Motors of the United States and the Argentine government. Initially, IKA produced Jeep vehicles and American Motors Corporation (AMC) models, including the iconic Torino. In 1960, a partnership with Renault of France began, leading to the production of Renault cars in Argentina. By 1970, Kaiser Industries sold its IKA holdings to Renault, and the company transitioned into Renault Argentina in 1975. During its operation, IKA produced a diverse range of vehicles including Jeeps, utility trucks, and AMC Rambler models like the Torino. The Santa Isabel factory in Córdoba produced approximately 40,000 vehicles annually by 1962. The company’s production included models such as the Renault Dauphine, Bergantin, Classic, Ambassador and Torino.
